INSPIRATION
For this photographic project that has been in the making for almost a year, I ventured into the heart of Africa to seek inspiration in its uniqueness. Exploring the rich African culture ignited a creative spark within me as I immersed myself in the colorful imagery of local visual wizards - photographers, painters, and other storytellers of digital narratives.
IDENTITY PATTERNS
African tradition is known for its rich colors and patterns often associated with dance, music, and vibrant lifestyles. Patterns may include geometric shapes, botanical motifs, and other symbols that hold deep meaning for the community from which they originate.
CLOTHING COLLECTION
From the fabrics I brought back from Africa, I had a collection of clothing tailored for myself and my husband in Slovenia. African-style clothing serves as the foundation of visual masterpieces and the central photographic motif, where artistry and tradition converge in an unforgettable visual narrative.
VISUAL STORY
I first photographed each piece of fabric brought from Africa to capture its pattern. From these fabric patterns, I crafted unique artistic forms that intertwine and enrich the background of each photograph.
